Company Overview
MB Sport is a successful private-label sportswear design and production company located in New Canaan, CT. We design, develop and source casual, active, and outdoor sportswear for leading retailers and brands in the U.S., Canada, and Great Britain.
Job Description
The Development Merchandiser will be responsible for managing styles from concept to adoption. The specific duties include:
- Creating initial tech pack for prototype sampling
- Managing fabric/trim sourcing and approvals
- Product costing and pricing
- Ensuring timely delivery of photo and salesman samples
- Overseeing and troubleshooting the production approval process
- Liaising with buyers at customer to secure product adoption
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated professional to join our team. This person must be able to work independently while accepting direction and feedback from customers and account managers. In addition, qualified applicants will have extensive experience in the following areas:
- Technical design
- Product costing
- Computer skills
- Diversity of sportswear experience (knits, wovens, women’s, men’s, tops, bottoms, outerwear, etc.)
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible, team-spirited attitude
